Hi,
I am using PowerCivil for Denamrk and I want to know if it is possible to add User Defined Attributes to different elements of my model, let's say a road. The client wants some specific information for different components of the template. Also is it possible to export my model as an IFC? I haven't seen anywhere the option to export as an IFC.
Regards,
Andrei
Hi Andrei,
You can edit your components to link documents using Template Documentation Link within Create Templates. Only import IFC is available with Power Civil; however, export ICF Alignment is available in OpenRoads Designer.

Hi Sanders,
Thank you for your response, but this is not what I was looking for. I guess an example of what I was looking for is how Tekla Structural Designer works. I model a beam and then I can add different UDAs like construction phase, date to be delivered etc. Then I can export that beam as an IFC with those UDAs that can be read in any IFC viewer.
So if I understood correctly this is not possible with PowerCivil and that is a shame. These days it should be easy to facilitate the transfer of information between different BIM programs. Maybe Bentley will take this into consideration in the future, because I really like PowerCivil and I don't wanna switch to Civil3D.
