Hi.
I'm using MX Roads SS4.
While importing MX Strings to Openroads feature using "Import Geometry" from General Geometry Tab, only my center line master string having a Geometry string is being converted to Openroads feature properly. Other strings such as Carriageway strings, which are not having an associated geometry strings are not properly converted to Openroads feature, and unable to use Openroads tools or Microstation command on them.
Can anybody suggest me any material to properly convert MX Roads model to Openroads feature so that all strings become usable. The PSS file is already linked to the DGN feature definition.
Thanks in advance.
The strings are converted to 3D lines in the Default-3D model (as they do not have geometry associated with them) - you can assign a feature definition to them if required. You can use the strings as point controls to control points in any template that you apply to create a corridor.
While trying to do any manipulation, a message shows up "Element in reference that is not active". From reference I can see the all other strings are in reference, while centerline is not, and also the refernce is activated. Kindly help on this issue.
What manipulation are you trying to do? For me, as they are MX strings, I would normally manipulate them in MX.
Such as "Set feature definition" or trim/extend.
Set Feature Definition works in the Default-3D model on the Linear 3D elements that come from MX. Why are you trying to trim/extend MX strings? To me, modification of the MX data is the responsibility of the MX designer.
