Hi,
I am using PowerCivil for Denmark to model some alignment. The drawings I received from the client do not offer a lot of information for some parts of the alignment and I am trying to find a way to determine certain stations on alignments placed next to the one with known information.
My question is if there is a way in PowerCivil to do stationing that takes into account the creep of the chainage. I also attached a picture in case my explanation is not clear enough.
Thank you.
Are you trying to report the chainages on the other alignments based on the point on the lower green alignment?
I am trying to keep the same level for adjacent alignments, while I have the level only for one of the alignments. Can this be done in PowerCivil?
If you know the XY of the known point, draw a small line from there in any direction. Set each of the other alignments active, and when using the Tracking tool, snap to the known point - and you will get the chainage of the active alignment. (I have drawn a line as it may be easier to nap - it is not necessary as you could use Accudraw to give the known XY when tracking).
