How do you create vertical or horizontal lines using the at 90 degrees to the page, using the drawing tool. This is a feature in microstation but I can't figure out how this works in ORD.
Also, is there a tool where you can extend the line by dragging the tool, micostation brings up a dashed line which indicates your extending the line.

ORD drawing tools are the same as in MicroStation - so use 'Place Line' and AccuDraw to get what you need. The 'Modify Element' will allow you to extend the line.
Modify element doesnt extend the line. How do you it? And where can I find AccuDraw?
I wasn't able to extend the line using modify element.

I'm not sure how you are using AccuDraw. Can you provide an explanation please?
AccuDraw is in the Home tab > Primary set of tools. Expand the dropdown that shows the key-in icon (bottom right of the group).
Modify Element is extending the line - it is not showing it as a dashed line, but it is extending (or shortening) it.
If you use the shortcut 'T' in AccuDraw, it will rotate to the Top view (so pointing North (even is view is rotated) in a design model, or to the Top of the page. (There are a lot of videos available online that go through AccuDraw use).
