When run “bnlxInpRunOnce” for input files from Texpad..,
Error showing as…." Error creating the MFWsystemBuild object - you might have a licence which doesn't allow you to run input files".
please help how to make the "bnlxInpRunOnce" tool work on the MX SS4.
Hi
I think there I a SS4 Version of the MX Tools. It may be checking to see if you have that and are not still trying to use and older version.

looks like to make "bnlxInpRunOnce” run on SS4, need ss2 installed; got colleages recommend that "Ss4 doesn’t have the SDK and relys on the ss2 SDK to be installed".
once got ss2 installed, repath or create a new tools path for "bnlxInpRunOnce" to the ss4 tools directory, and it works perfect.
You need the SS4 version of MXTools. There is a "bnlxInpRunOnce.exe" in there that allows you just that. After SS3, when Bentley changed how ActiveX and COM works, you need to switch to the newer versions. Basically the vast majority of executables compiled for SS2 won't work.
Regards,
Val.
You actually need just to extract the "bnlxInpRunOnce.exe" from the installer. Can be achieved with 7zip, the executable is in the "Data1.cab" file.
You will need to unpack "mxt081109845en.exe" in a folder, then double click the "Data1.cab", locate the "bnlxInpRunOnce.exe" and extract it.
Point your text editor towards it and you're good to go. The "bnlxInpRunOnce.exe" doesn't have to be in a particular location, mine resides in a tools folder.
Thanks Val,
tried to path to SS4 MXtools which the latest "bnlxInpRunOnce.exe", but it looks not run if the MX SS2 not installed.
some colleague recommends that "Ss4 doesn’t have the SDK and relys on the ss2 SDK to be installed".
create two short cut from Textpad, which run both SS4 and SS2, which works perfect.
by the way...
do you know where can I find the latest MX tools "MXInput.exe"?
thanks a lot!
