Is there a way to automatically populate the text fields in a drawing head with e.g. drawing scale, date, WorkSet name, drawing sheet name etc?
You may be able to use an annotation cell - see 'Creating Annotation Cells' in Step 5 in the following. https://learn.bentley.com/app/Public/ViewLearningPathDetails?lpId=111346

I created a cell, and added some text and 'Insert Field' to add some file properties - to give WorkSet/WorkSpace/Filename as a test. I placed this on my sheet, and the fields update when file is open (or key-in 'Field Update Select' to select the fields to update). I would assume you could add the fields to your border so that they are always there.
Oops. I meant "Date Plotted".
Really silly question on my part (possibly) - have you plotted it yet? (I have never noticed that field, nor used it.)
Yes. I created a pdf using the pdf.pltcfg. It did not update in the resulting pdf. I wondered the same thing. Is there another field that would do the same thing? In v8i I used text substitution strings in my sheet border cell for plot date and file name.
Text Substitution will still work.
As I say, not my area - ask on MicroStation forum and/or the Plotting forum.

Thanks Mark.
I assumed text substitutions would still work. I am just trying to "get on board" with the CONNECT products.
