Hi,
I would like to ask if this is possilbe with multiple superelevation controls in subgrade?
Point A is rotating with respect to Point C and Point B is rotating with respect to Point A. Is that achievable if i have superelevation controls in Point A and Point B?
Thank you.
I am using InRoads SS2.
Regards,
Ron
Yes, this should be ok. When you create the point control, you are assigning the superelevation control line to specify rates from the Parent/Pivot point. You can have a single superelevation control line and assign it to different points or you can have separate control lines with differing superelevation cross slope rates and assign them to different points. So you can have a superelevation control line assigned to point A with the pivot point set to Point C. Then have a separate superelevation control line associated to point B with a pivot point of A. The program will process the point controls in an order to have both vertical point controls work.
My suggestion would be to add the Point Control for Point A in the point controls first, then add the Point Control for the superelevation of Point B in the list after that. This way, you are programmatically telling it to process the rotation of A first, then the rotation of B after that point control has been applied.

Dear Chris, Thank you for your response. Much appreciated. I'll follow your suggestion.
