How can I get the tool to result in a line not an arc? Using the Make Single Element mode, even if the line string is a roughly straight line, the result is always a curve. The radius of the fitted arc is sometimes incredibly large, like 325,067 feet for example, so it looks like a straight line. I would like to just get a linear regression like in Geopak Cogo Best Fit Tool.
Chris,
The tool cannot result in a straight line. A workaround could be to manually draw a line by snapping to the end points of the result using the Make Single Element mode.

Is there any update on this?
I am laying out control lines based on as-built foundations and need a linear best fit line through the centers.
I have OpenRoads Designer (10.07.00.56).
Are you telling me i need to purchase another product to do this?
I would love to see this resolved. I like, well.. EVERY OTHER SURVEYOR would use this tool constantly to resolve Right-of-Way lines. We could do it in GEOPAK, Civil 3d, Carlson, many other drafting softwares, and apparently other Bentley softwares. But the one we are required by DOTs to use is not helpful for surveyors. The ability to adjust, remove and add points, hold specific points etc. would be fantastic.
