Where can you change the vertical exaggeration of a profile model in the OpenRoads product? There is not an option in any command settings to set this. When I go to the View Attreibutes - Civil - Exaggeration, there is a drop down menu. My Customer requiresa 6' exaggeration not 5 or 10, so how do I change this? I'm the only person running this software in my office, and I'm learing it by bentley online - so where do I find help for this?
There is a configuration variable CIVIL_EXAGGERATION_VALUES that lists the available values. Amend the variable by (1) File > Settings > Configuration > Configuration Variables or (2) edit the relevant configuration (.cfg) file in a text editor to add the value you need.

This only controls which values it offers in the drop down menu. Can we also set a default value to use?. In Ss4 a save settings does not seem to work. Plus, since it is recommended that you not save settings with Cross Section or Profile Views open, this is not much help.

In the same configuration file, I have the following lines. Amend CIVIL_SET_DEFAULT_EXAGGERATION to set your default.
CIVIL_EXAGGERATION_VALUES = 1,2,5,10,20,50,100CIVIL_SET_DEFAULT_EXAGGERATION = 10
FWIW - I routinely save settings with profile views open. Doesn't seem to be a problem. Cross-section views sometimes misbehave but this seems to happen occasionally whether the views are left open or not.
