I am currently running Power Geopak SS4 Version 08.11.09.878 and at some point last week my gpk file became corrupt. Is there a way to repair the gpk?
Cliff, the file size is too big for me to upload (+9000K)
Beebe/ Cliff, is there anything to perhaps avoid corruption? Or is it truly luck (or lack thereof)? Could it be a Power GeoPak version issue? Should I upgrade to 08.11.09.904? Is 904 64 bit compatible as I am running a 64 bit/32G RAM computer and I am looking for a 64bit version anyway.
This particular corruption I believe occurred when the IT department was installing network patches.
I guess I'm confused. Are you working with a GPK dataset or is this an OpenRoads project explorer issue?
So you have tried this step? This was always a very handy tool. I have had to divide big topo jobs into multiple GPK files. Seemed like having more that 5000 points in a GPK was a barrier to stability.
Are you importing the survey points using the data sets workflow?
I would recommend using SS4 OpenRoads survey to develop topo surveys and then push the data out to a GPK. That's how we are working projects that have a topo deliverable with Geopak Survey ie GPK files.
Cliff,
Yes were are importing using the datasets workflow and I will try your suggested options...Makes sense on the size limitations, and I will compress at the end of each day that I import new points. Do you know if OpenRoads is a seperate purchase or is it a download? I can't seem to find it on the software download page. Also, attached is a Zip file of the gpk in question. Let me know if you got it.
Thank you for all of your help

Never mind on the OpenRoads question, I found the downloads...It appears to only have MS Connect editions, are there any SS4 V8i options?
This the version I'm currently using, it's V8i.
This just came to mind....better late than never. Try deleting your GeoPak resource files.
