I have the same issue. I am new to OpenRoads and working through a series of Tutorial files. The dgn file provided with the training is a newer version (Version 10 update 6) than the OpenRoads program I have on my computer (Version 10 update 4). I cannot edit any of the dgn files and hence, cannot work along with the tutorial video. Is there a way to open and edit the new dgn files?

RE: ORD: DGN VERSION COMPATIBILITY

Thank you very much. You CANNOT edit the newer version in the older version.

RE: ORD: DGN VERSION COMPATIBILITY

Okay, But is there a way to work with this dgn with a older version?

RE: ORD: DGN VERSION COMPATIBILITY

It is not an error message, but an information message.

You can reference the newer version DGN into your file, but you cannot edit it.The later version would probably have newer civil data format, which the older version would not recognise - which is why it can only be opened Read-Only.
