I run some EAV reporting and compared it with what is shown on the cross section - I noticed there are discrepancies between areas in report and areas measured from cross section. An example is shown on the screenshot. Can someone from Bentley explain why there is a difference in values? Ideally, I would like to understand in depth how EAV works in ORD world knowing ORD generates real cut/fill volumes.

Sure but it's quite big dataset. You can try to reproduce the issue on simple corridor...
