The materials defined in my Element Templates do not show in the corridor model.
E.g. the slopes are supposed to look like Grass Areas 2, but they are only filled.
I have checked that MS_MATERIAL points to the correct place where materials.dgnlib is and the subfolder contains grass_areas_2.jpg.
In the Element Templates dialog, the palette 'Civil' contains some materials but not the Grass etc.
The palette 'Bentley-Civil' is empty and there seems to be a palette with no name as well.
Can someone please help?
In the Training and Examples Workspace I do get the right materials, so the problem must be caused by my own workspace, but where do I look?
Start by checking where the configuration variables MS_BUMP, MS_MATERIAL, and MS_PATTERN point to. See what is different between what they are in the Training WorkSpace and your WorkSpace. Do the folders contain the files needed?
I have checked those variables, and they are OK, and the folders contain a copy of the files from the Training workspace.
I dug deeper into the problem and located it in the Display settings.
Level Overrides was toggled on in the 3D view (view 2)! – It must be toggled off to show materials.
Even though the Display setting for view 2 thru 8 is off in the seed file, the View Control macro that sets up views is toggling the Level Overrides on in the 3D view in my seed file, but not in the Bentley 'Seed2D - Metric Design.dgn' seed file.
Any idea why?
Obviously it was caused by the Display settings in view 1. So now I have changed the ViewSet.mvba so it toggles off Level Overrides in the 3D views.
I suggest that you do the same in the delivered workspaces, and I attach the revised macro.ViewSet.mvba
