I'm processing data in segments then assembling the corridor segments into a master DGN so I've been exporting an XML of the segment after edits. I seem to be losing the arc edits that I've already made when importing into the master file. Using 08.11.09.832 SS4. The XML writer reports as LandXML version 1.2
Merge to Master workflow.
1) Verify the config variable is set to 1. Default is 0.
2.) Save settings and restart Microstation.
3.) Make sure the field books are named the same in both files.
4.) Attach the slave file to the master survey dgn as a reference.
5.) From the reference dialog box right click on the slave file, pick merge to master.
6.) Open Project Explorer and verify data has been merged successfully.
This process can be repeated any number of times to migrate data from one file to another. SS4 will not allow overwrites using this workflow.
I have found this to be the most productive method for importing data from one SS4 file to another.
Any thoughts?

An interesting workaround. I will experiment with that method. Thanks for the input!
See if it works. I was processing FBK files in individual dgn files as subsets and merging just as I described above. Worked good, just a little too complex workflow to try and push out to other techs.
