Hello,
I am using Microstation v8i SS2 and Bentley Rail Track v8i SS2 for a project that requires a regression analysis. I have a 3D survey file containing points with northing/easting and elevation data. I connected the midpoints between the survey points I was trying to get a centerline from and used the Import>Geometry command to create a horizontal and vertical alignment from the selected linestring. This created an alignment with a bunch of PI points for my survey baseline. When I use the regression analysis tool to add horizontal regression points, I select the alignment created from the survey, but when I hit apply, no points are created or show up as a list of points in the edit/review horizontal regression points window. I have given the geometry file to another coworker and he can add points in the same manner just fine on his program. (He is using an earlier version of Inroads/Microstation). Any ideas why my software is not allowing me to create regression points?
Thanks.
Bill
Perhaps you need to expand the column to see the points. See article
https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/w/road_and_site_design__wiki/30715/inroads-geometry-command-with-list-of-points-is-appearing-blank
If this does not resolve the issue please attach alg with detail specific workflow to so I can mimic. Also what version number of RT are you using? I'd try testing in SS2 08.11.07.615.
