Hi.
I'm facing a problem while attaching reference .dwg file to openroads. This is very common and it is happening in both Openroads Designer and MX Roads.
While attaching a reference, it is coming in wrong position.
Attachment method-Coincident world. The scale and other things are coorecta and the drawing files are not having any issues.
Can anyone kindly help on this issue?
Thanks in Advance.
what happens if you use 'Coincident' instead of 'Coincident World'? It sounds like the dwg has a different origin.
No 'coincident' also didn't help. Still the attached file is coming in wrong position.
Snehasish: You will need to attach the reference (not modifying the reference settings AFTER it is attached) using the base unit settings of the master file. This will scale "warp" the reference to the masters working units. I am not by a computer right now, but when attaching a reference there is an attachment setting which allows the reference to inherit those settings (if memory serves, it is under an "option" tab). If this question is not answered by early today, here in the USA, I will provide a better explanation when I have a computer to work with.
Thanks a lot Mark. I'll try to follow as you said.
Thank you. But I could not find what you said. Can you kindly explain it a little bit elaborately when you have the application to work with?
Snehasish:
Knowing the Master Units for your file, you can merely change the conversion units for your DWG reference files:
For the case illustrated here, the DWG file is being attached into a file with master units set to Survey Feet (you may need to scroll down to a different set of values for your particular issue). I just tested this scheme within ORD and it works as well as earlier versions of the software (I am using ORD R.4).

Thanks a lot Mark. It worked properly.
