1. How the &*%^ does one place a Station Offset note with ORD?
2. is there any annotate tools that replicate the inroads .dft (place plan note) options, this tool was critical for us, we could customize so many labels however we wanted to display, most importantly, for this project now, I need to be able to grab a 3d line and label the rise/run. easy peasy with classic inroads...
I am naturally discouraged with any new software, I know ORD is new, but it seems this should in the geometry ribbon?!? also, why the hell is there so many SS3/SS2 topic popping up in the ORD forums?
Under the drawing production ribbon, you are gonna use the place label command. You can then use a set of predefine text favorite or cell to annotate what you want. Basicaly Openroads use text field for anything. I know there a several video on this forum to help you understand and configure your annotation.
Excellent, do you know how to customize the "text favorites" we see how to labe a simple line slope in percentage, but want to see rise.run

Because this isn't really just an ORD forum - that's a (fairly) recent name change. Plenty of us still use the older packages (for various reasons) and this is "our" forum, too.

You will need to access (by default) the Text Favorites_Text Styles_Dimension Styles Imperial.dgnlib file located at: C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenRoads Designer CE\Configuration\Organization-Civil\_Civil Default Standards - Imperial\Dgnlib\Feature Definitions\ (I am assuming here that you are working in imperial units...
I suggest perusing through the different entries to understand the logic for the common structures. In many ways, the text favorites have become a replacement for the *.dft file.
