ORD V10.07.00.56 - Alignment Stationing - Annotation vs. Report problem

I have a problem with the stationing on my alignment being annotating differently than it is when I generate a report.  Screen grabs are below.  This alignment was created and then later it was prepended by 600’.  This was done with the geometry command ‘Simple line from element’ and then the Geometry command Modify – append element was using to prepend it to the existing alignment.  I’ve also tried to use the drawing command extend element but I get the same results.  Is this not the correct workflow and if not what is the correct workflow?

  • Thank you for the response Steve.  I had tried removing the stationing which kicked me out but when I reopened, the command had functioned and removed the stationing.    I then used the Geometry - modify - Start Station command to reassign stationing but had the same problem and the stationing was the same as in the screen captures.  I had also tried moving the start point but I don't have a left arrow handle at the starting point of the alignment only the circle so the point moves to freely and I'm not able to control the bearing precisely or the distance. I did retry the drawing-modify-extend line command in the newest version of ORD this morning and it worked but if anyone knows  why the other commands function they way they do or if they are not functioning correctly I'd love to know.

  • It looks like the chaining of elements was done with the wrong end of segment one selected, so the report has it going in the opposite direction from the rest of the figure. When you re-complex, make sure each segment displays an arrow pointing in the correct direction as you select and accept it.
