We are on Projectwise using Microstation V8i and Openroads SS4. We all see the same cross sections preferences ref'd from Projectwise. However, a user created new preferences for a project with multiple sets of cross sections in multiple dgns. Other users cannot see the new prefs that were created. Any clues to where the new prefs would have been saved? Possibly on the creator's computer? The new prefs are shown in the prefs list with all of the others that can be seen by all. Thanks
I know when working in ProjectWise, the ITL needs to be actively checked out, or changes are made only to the local copy in the DMS folders, I would presume that an .XIN would work similarly. So, before making changes you will need to check out the file from within ProjectWise Explorer and then check it in when finished. As to the new preferences, they should be in the DMS folders on that user's computer. A PW admin should be able to help you locate those.

Thanks, Steven. It is pulling a master XIN from the workspace on Projectwise and when the new prefs were created it saved them on the user's XIN in his DMS folders but didn't save in the master because, like you said, it either wasn't checked out or it was read only. thanks again
If you use an RWK, you can get an XIN to check out, but unfortunately ITL files are no longer supported in RWK files.
