Hi. Someone has given me a drainage sdb file to be displayed on SS4 cross sections. Is this possible? If yes, how do we go about doing it because the tool "Place Crossing Features" is not available in SS4. Please let me know. Thank you.
The short answer to your inquiry is "no". The best manner of dealing with this situation would be to cut some new cross sections (in SS2) and display the SDB file inside of those sections, reference those sections to your SS4 section file, and copy the information from file to file. SUDA is replacing the old method of producing pipes and utilities (InRoads Storm and Sanitary), and as such will be the method to be used in the future.
If anyone disagrees with my assessment, please let me know as my possible ignorance could be accepted as genuine knowledge ;-)

Thank you for your response. Please correct me if I'm wrong. If I remember correctly : If you display the SDB file on the ss2 cross sections, you would get crossing features in the form of circles and not any drainage elements right?
Assuming that your drainage.dat files incorporates all of the structures which you will be in need of- and that the designer of the system has worked in accordance with that *.dat file- you will be able to see all of the drainage elements (manholes, crossing pipes, inlets, etc.). We have used InRoads Storm and Sanitary for years, and- combined with some thoughtful drafting notes- have found it to be quite a great time saver. Whether or not SUDA within OpenRoads will live up to its hype is yet to be determined on my end.
