ORD - How do you report on linear feature?

How do you report on linear feature?  I want x,y,z of linear feature generated by corridor.

None of the report (station base or station offset) seam to work.  They only give the alignement x,y,z and offset to the elements (features).

So how do we do?

  • If you select the linear feature and select the Horizontal Geometry Report Icon from the context sensitive menu the report browser will open up and if you then switch down to the horizontalElementsXYZ.xsl report and select that report does that show the information you were looking for?

  • Hi BeeBe, no it does not work:

The only things that is working is this one:

But still there is a lot of work to get it right.

Also how can I get the XYZ of the feature line AND the offset from the main alignement?

Because like I said those 2 reports fonction (station base, and offset) never give the feature line elevation or the complete information that I want.

  • Hi Jeremie,
    did you try StationBaseCoordinates.xsl report?
Select report Geometry> General Tools> Reports> Station Offset Report.
Select basic alignment (for station) and then reported elements (for offset, X,Y,Z)
Report StationBaseCoordinates.xsl gave me result as you can see in the picture.
Two purple linear elements in corridor are reported perpendicular to red centerline.

  • Hi Joseph, there is something wrong with this fonction (station base report).  I suspect it as something to do with curves, spirals and corridor modeling.  The corridor I'm reporting is all in curve with point controls and also a spiral.  The problem is that I have holes in my report or that it is just giving me nothing.

First picture is my right edge of pavement wich does not stop but there is holes:

Second is my toe of slope:

all empty except for the offset...

And it's like this for all the features I try to report.  I did some experiment on very basic corridor and the report are not working if the horizontal cardinal is not set to true:

The holes in my report change depending on what processing I add but I still can't get my toe of slope, never.

Any help Bentley, because I clearly sense that there is a bug here.  I don't mind sharing my files with somebody from Bentley.

    Please fix this.
