I want to create a trapezoidal drain in filling section using input files for earthworks as marked in the below image:
So, Please if anyone can throw some light into this topic
I have also input file for INTERFACE as follows but it is not completed:
INTERFAC,DTM DPR,DESIGN DPR260,MCL0,2=IAL0,3=IAL0,4=-11,5=700,8=1570261,TX00,2=ESL0,7=0.5262,TX00,3=IA00,5=1.5,7=-0.5262,TX00,3=IB00,4=3,5=1,7=0262,TX00,2=IB00,3=IC00,5=1.5,7=0.5262,TX00,2=IB00,7=-0.5263
By using this i can only create as shown in below image i can only create berm but could not able to create trapezoidal drain section.
Is the ditch independent of the side road? By that I mean, does the ditch get placed based on the main road only? If so, just do something like the following.
INTERFAC,GROUNDMODEL,NEWWORKMODEL260,MAST,2=IC15,4=1,5=10,8=100261,IGN,VERR,IF15,5=1,7=-1261,IGN,IF15,IS15,4=3,5=2,7=0261,AUTO,7=1263
If it is always there, you could also use DESIGN to create the strings, as you know the offsets you want.
Thank you sir for your response but I want to create using 262 option as my road is entirely in filling so it will not be able to create the ditch using 261 option.
anyways I will try with your suggestion also.
It makes no real difference if you use 261 or 262 - the slopes are defined using each. In this example, just change the 261 to 262, and you will get the same result.
Hello Ibrahim,
I suggest you better do it with using Design a String - Horizontal offset and related options. I have created working cross sections for similar project and have attached final cross sections. These are generated cross sections and I have not edited them. I have created cross sections in the same way for about 75 kms of a project. In MX Road, everything is possible. Let me know if u have any more clarifications.
