After a survey (topography survey) has been processed, Geopak always prompts for the user to choose a data format before it will open that file. Is there a way to stop this?
One option may be to disable the Data File Format(s) which you don't use. https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/w/road_and_site_design__wiki/41633/add-custom-tiw-option-to-the-available-drop-down-file-of-type-list
I thought it would only list multiple data types if it has the same extension, but I see yours is listing XML and SMD (unless that GEOPAK SMD is a .XML extension). So if you have multiple Data File Types which have the same extension it will bring this dialog up so you can select which format to use for the import.

Quinten did you get this figured out? I have the same problem. The survey import file is not the issue it is opening the DGN file correct?
Thanks,
Bob
I will let you know if I figure something out.
Thanks
Bob Mecham
Hi Quinten,
Enhancement 1062314 was filed on this issue.
The additional testing I did it seems to be DGN specific to the workspace it was created in. Something from the DGNLIBs that gets copied in to the DGN is triggering it which doesn't make any sense to me.
If I create a survey file in Workspace A (which is my problem workspace) then open the file in Workspace B I still get the dialog when opening the file. If I create the survey file in Workspace B (which is the good workspace) and open the file in Workspace A I do not get the dialog.
Just thought I would share.
Best regards,Bob Mecham
