I am experiencing challenges with "Place Horizontal Temporary Dimension" and "Place Vertical Temporary Dimension" in the cross section view. I can activate the commands but upon the prompt to "Select Cross Section View" I cannot get OpenSite/OpenRoads to recognize the view regardless of where I click in the cross section view.
Does anyone have experience resolving this issue?
Thank you.

Yeah, it is buggy, heh? If I use the right-click option, I get nothing. If I use it from the menu MOST of the time it works; sometimes it does not.

Mark
Thanks Mark, I have tried both and am experiencing failure with both methods. It was working last week and I have tried to figure out what setting I may have changed to cause it not to work today.
Mark:
Thanks for the input, but "Template Drop Not Found" was/ is certainly not an issue of mine in particular, and I agree that the temporary measurement tools are kinda' gimmicky. Usually, I just cut some actual cross sections in an area of need and take measurements the "old fashioned" way.
No, I do not see "Template Drop Not Found".
Thank you for your interest.
I just tested this for the first time using the training lessons. I don't believe it is reporting correctly.
Sometimes the dimension attaches to subgrade points, resulting in correct width but bogus slopes. When selecting points, leave the cursor well above the section - it will find the nearest topmost point automatically and should eliminate that problem.

Has there been a fix to ORD's cross section temporary dimension labels? I turned everything off but surfaces (FG and SG), but the slope labels are still giving the incorrect slope.
