How can I export an existing profile as an xml?
This would be useful for archiving, however I have a slightly different situation currently.
I am shifting from ground to grid, so I am recreating the shifted horizontal alignments with the "complex by element" tool and the "Modify/Start Station" tool, and then creating an xml file for the shifted horizontal alignments to import into ConceptStation.
However, I can't figure out how to export out the profile from the original unshifted horizontal alignment.
I can display the "Profile Report" but how do I save this as an xml.
And then how would I associate the horizontal xml and the vertical xml?
This will export directly to XML. I keep all of my alignments external to the file in LandXML. (I have a lot of alignments.)
A word of caution however, if you are using a version of ORD 2018 R4, you need to manually go into the LandXML file and change the units to "USSurveyFeet". This also allows me to create ALG files or Geopak Chains using Power InRoads/Power GeoPAK SS4.
