The input file creation for superelevation (rotation about centre line) of a 100 km long road with lots of curves becomes very cumbersome (and also difficult to check ).
Is there any easier method for super elevation (other than rule based super elevation) for 100 kmph speed ??
There are 2 methods to create superelevation - input file or ruled based. What kind of 'easier' method did you envisage?
Actually I am seeking any mathematical model based file(MS excel format) for super elevation input file...
If I choose to go through the rule based method with design speed 100 kmph with max. super elevation of 5%, lots of conflicts arise.
You could create an Excel spreadsheet that could generate the input file - that would be something you would need to create.
Another option would be to create a copy of the rules file, and amend the copy to amend the parameters to stop the conflicts. Of course, that may mean that you do not follow standards.
