In the profile generated (by MX road V8i SS4), the design centre line gets drapped over the existing ground level. Actually the design centre line is supposed to remain higher than the existing ground level . When I try to get the profile of the design centre line alone, still its showing levels those of the ground level. What's wrong here ? Any detailed solution to this problem would be helpful.
How are you creating the profile? MX will drape a string onto the existing surface if that is what you ask it to do. Are you using vertical alignment tools to create the proposed profile?
A detailed explanation of what you are doing would help in trying to find a solution.
profile is created by quick alignment (IP) method.
Are you snapping to existing ground? Are you drawing the existing instead of the proposed by mistake? You need to provide more detail.
please have a look at the picture, the design centre line goes above and the ground level goes below....
also when I attach the ground surface, I don't select the "Apply levels to refrence string" , as shown in another attached image.
So the levels of both design centre line and ground should be different is profile.
Why is the M string called MC50 in first picture, and MC00 in the second? You are looking at two different strings.
That picture is showing the ground under MC00 - as far as I can see, you have not displayed the proposed. You are sectioning the TRIA model.
