We had a multi-mile interstate project. We had multiple drainage engineers working on different sections of the drainage design. Our client requires a clean hydro.dgn deliverable with all the drainage elements showing and no reference files attached.
We were unable to copy the SUDA drainage elements of our test section into the master hydro.dgn file. I ended up redrawing the SUDA drainage in by hand. We did the rest of the drainage design in InRoads Storm and Sanitary.
Is there a way in SUDA to have multiple drainage engineers working on design, and then view/show the work in a master hydro.dgn file without having reference files in it?
Sincerely,
Charles
For storm and sanitary drainage data, another way to achieve this is to use Export Submodel in the source DGN, then open the destination DGN and use Import Submodel.
Sorry, the question was asked a long time ago but for other users wanting to know the answer, here is a sugegstion.
You can use the model builder. First you need to export the data with the flex tables, see this wiki: https://communities.bentley.com/products/road___site_design/w/road_and_site_design__wiki/48870/video-export-utilities-to-excel
And then import them in the master file using the model builder, see this SS4 video series: https://learn.bentley.com/app/Public/ViewLearningPathDetails?lpId=106800
Excellent question Charles!!
