GEOPAK Drainage - Not Saving Node Information

When editing my Node Configuration properties, some of the information is not saving. It will save information such as location, node type and node bottom, but after going to different nodes or closing out of the program it will forget saved information such as Profile (sag/on grade) and Bypass Node information. I see there was a post on this a few years back that recommended deleting resource files and verifying the Working Directory. I did these tasks and the same result happened.

Are there any other remedies to this?

If not, what may be the best approach to get the information into a new .gdf that isn't "corrupt"?

Thank you

  • There was something corrupt within the file.  What I ended up doing was deleting each node and adding them back one by one.  The most efficient way was to follow the sequence described below:

    1. open the edit node window and navigate to the node I wished to delete.
    2. select the delete node icon from within the edit node window. (this will prompt you to save the node you were just editing)
    3. Delete node.
    4. Add node back with same name and description as the one that was deleted.

If you perform the above steps, a majority of the inlet/node data will be retained.

Once all the nodes/inlets have been deleted and reinput, in lieu of saving the gdf, I exported the network to a new file.  When I closed the file and reopened, all my inlets were retained.

    Hope this helps.
