A colleague stationed a project for me in AutoCAD's Civil 3D and now I'm trying to import the stationing into MicroStation. As is, I need to make some adjustment but can't seem to find a way to modify them as elements. The best I can do is drop the complex elements and rotate the text and segments as individual segments or retype each as a note, a very slow and tedious process.
AutoCAD version:
Same file converted to MicroStation:
It almost worked but, as you can see, the stationing needs some adjustment and I will need to do a lot of them.
I don't think this is about stationing, exactly...I think it's about the way AutoCAD does labels. I think there was a thread along here a month ago that was having the same label rotation issue.
One of the problems is that Civil3D writes data that isn't plain vanilla CAD (in any format). Those application elements don't always come across well into anything other than the original vertical application (including vanilla AutoCAD).
I'll see if I can find that other thread, or you can try to search for it...One question - do you NEED to have that information in MicroStation? MicroStation has decent DWG capabilities, and sometimes that lets me get around elements that don't want to play nice.

I need the text on the sheets. Is that what you mean? At the moment I'm dropping the elements so that I can copy the text and place the notes by hand.
I do know that in the past I have gotten labels that were, I believe, created in AutoCAD and I was able to manipulate them in Microstation.

If that applies (which it might not!) there may not be much solution. There was a defect documented, but it certainly won't have been fixed yet.
If you really do have to re-place the notes, I suggest you start the edit text tool and select the old note. Make sure the text is highlighted in the editor. Now without hitting the Reset button click the Place Note tool. It should start with the text already in the editor, ready to place. At least, it would save you some typing.
It's possible that this is a recent defect. There have been a number of updates to Connect over time, and occasionally things have gotten broken. Or there's something new in the Civil3D elements that didn't use to be there (I've seen that as well).
I see you list both Microstation and InRoads. I actually have OpenRoads on my computer but don't know anything about it or how it differs from InRoads. Do you think that I could use OpenRoads to station my project myself?
I would need to create a control line from an existing 2D polyline, designate the starting station, station my elements and create curve and line tables. If anyone has any video or reading recommendations I would appreciate it.
