InRoads Triangles....New to InRoads

Hi,  I have posted here a couple of times for things, and this has been pretty helpful, so I am back.  I am VERY new to InRoads...in other words, NO KNOWLEDGE of it.  I am very proficient in MStation, but lost when it comes to InRoads.  I have been put on a project that was previously done by someone else, and I am now having to try to make changes to it, and am LOST!

Now, I have somehow gotten the triangulation stuck on my design.  I am not sure what I have done, but if anyone could help me out here,  would greatly appreciate it.  No matter what I do, whether I update the surface, change triangulation or whatever, I still can't get them off.  I have even closed the project and reopened it, yep, still there.  Any help?  Thanks.

  • If I understand correctly, you are just wanting to delete the triangles from your CAD file?

Go to Surface> Update 3D/Plan Surface Display.  For Mode, select Display Off.  Select the surface of which you want to remove the display of triangles.  Toggle on Triangles and Apply.  The triangles should go away.

You should also be able to just delete the triangles with the MicroStation Delete command.  Make sure that Graphic Group lock in MicroStation is on or you will be deleting one triangle at a time.

By the way, you may want to mention which version of InRoads Group you are using because certain behaviors can vary from version to version.  For instance, the Write Lock no longer exists in InRoads Group XM Edition and V8i.

Another thing that you could do to familiarize yourself with the product is to go through the InRoadsRoadwayDesignerTutorialV8i.pdf in the Sample Data folder of the product installation.

    I hope this helps.
