Import Sections and make it in corridor

Hello good day,
I work with Inroads SS2 v8.11.07.685 or with Openroads 10.06.00.38 (which I dominate less) and I have several questions.
To reconstruct a 3D of some existing tunnels I have several type sections (more than 50 for each tunnel).
I have already imported most in SS2.
The questions are:
1.- To introduce each of them in the corridor, some are repeated in different sections. Can I import them from an Excel or similar with PK i name section?
Introducing them one by one is a bit laborious. I already have a list of them.
2.- When importing a type section in Openroads as it has areas with curves, the number of points in the section does not densify me well and makes me odd shapes. Where is the parameter to vary this?
I have already tried to set the minimum string length to 0.001 but it does not work.

  • Do you have the 3d Linestring of the tunnel for each section, there may be a mesh tool to stitch the existing tunnel together. If you do have a 3d Dgn with the 3d tunnel sections, please send it along and I will see what can be done.

  • Hello Joe,

Tomorrow I prepare an example to send it.

-I have the various sections in a DGN

-A list of pk where to apply these sections

    - A horizontal alignment

    -A longitudinal profile

It is actually something more complicated: there are several axes and pk listings, and many type sections (some of them are not yet available)

    Thank you

  • Hello good afternoon.

    I send the following files:

EixosMetro_.alg     Horizontal alignment and profile of the L3 axis. The Horizontal alignment is imported from a curvestring (I don't need the actual axes parameters)

    • L3_sec_.dgn            DGN with the type sections (some). I have imported them in the file L3.itl
    • L3_3d.dgn                Final result I want to get (that I send is partially completed)
    • L3.itl                          File with imported sections type (not yet all)
    • Metro_.ird                 Corridors with the section definition according to pk
    • L3_.xlsx                    Excel file of the list of pk and section number

What I would like is to automatically enter from the Excel L3_.xlsx (or other format) the information of pk and section in the Metro_ird file and not have to do it manually pk by pk.

The ultimate goal is to generate a dgn (L3_3d.dgn) with the components of all sections to represent the 3d path.

In the stations path we are making a 3d of each one of them.

    Another question.

When importing sections, names of points are assigned automatically. These have no interest in the process. The problem is that when the name is repeated in several sections, the program tries to connect them. I can disconnect them manually, but can it be done automatically?

    Thank you.
