Hi All,
The last few days I've searching for information and help about X-section annotations, annotation groups en definitions..
II've installed the latest version of ORD.
When I open the Help File I cant find any specific information on any off the above subjects. I need desperate information on how to make annotation filters for crosssections. My project running over budget becuse all x-sections need to be (cached - automatc,) then exported to Cad and manually edited. 1 profile for every 250 m on a 32km roadproject. needs to be fully annotated. Width off lanes (between road markings ) widt off pavement (between edge off pavements) in box or above section.
Need: a full discription off functionallity off use off expressions / use off and segments with examples and , Full discription on how to make textfavorites (NO MOVIES) with examples for annotion with line objects or dynamic cells
Yes I'm getting super irritaded over this issue. Please Bentley make it work!
help pages information??? It is empty or just has a screen capture ?
The easiest way to get this done is to copy and then edit the Bentley delivered cross section annotation. If you add the delivered dgnlibs to your workspace they are available for you to select as a starting point for your custom annotations.
As far as text favorites goes, that I agree needs some work. Look in the text editor dialogue. There is a button buried in there, I believe it is under the star icon, called manage. That is where you define text favorites.
Good luck.
Thx for your reply, I've allready created some annotaion groups. However I need more information in documents (as a text ) that explain in an advanced way how certain expressions work. For example: what exactly does the expression 'on top' means and when does it apply. with a detailed workflow and examples. This is missing. I don't want to spend an other weekend finding out how something works.
this is the same with textfavorites, how to create a superelevation file or design standards file etc. Yes I can copy, but I want to understand so i can create my own.
Totally agree! This is very frustrating. Not sure why Bentley is taking this issue so lightly. All products these days have detailed documentations.
