Hi,
I have a very distressing problem concerning sight visibility lines. I attached report where we can see that despite requiring 70m of sight distance the program shows some strange values in column "Sight Distance Along Sight Line Achieved" and these lines are being drawn in model. I have no clue out of where these values are taken but it's a big problem since they are smaller than the required ones. It's completely unreliable. Does anyone know why ORD doesn't draw whole sight distance lines?

Hi Krzysztof,
The Sight Distance Along Sight Line Achieved is the chord distance, while the Sight Distance Achieved (and checked) is along the vehicle path and as required as sight distance is usually a combination of reaction and braking time.

And that was my first thought but then I measured distance along vehicle path and it also shows not whole value. See the pictures below required distance is 70m). Shouldn't ORD draw required sight lines ? I think it was like that in SS2/SS4.

Good catch, I've already reported an issue where it measures along the alignment, instead of offset vehicle paths.
Have you tried using the tool without "Move Target to Achieve Visibility" option set?
Thanks, that is terrible and very dangerous on live project. It is the next tool where we have to go back to SS2 functionality:(.
I always uncheck "Move Target to Achieve Visibility" because it makes it even worse.
I have picked up the SR. I will investigate and feedback via the SR and here.
