I tried similar widening with a older project ( from 2018) which i know for sure that geometry was correct and widening with Point Control succeeded.

I inserted the geometry as reference and picked as Plan Element. It come with same result...circular dependency detected - reference entity depending on corridor result 

Could it be that something is broken in OpenRoads?

Solved... instead of choosing the point from the list, i pick the EOP_R_R from the 2d view, and now the widening is be created

Having the same issue and tried to select the point in the view as per Sigfus suggestion. It did not work. I have 6 widening, 4 of them worked but the last two do not. The two the does not work were build in the same way.

I am still having the same issue and can't get it to work. I do not have the option to select the point. I have to pick it from the dropdown list.
