ORD Civil KEY-INS - Where can we find an overview

Hi,

For a custom Ribbon it would be fine if there was an overview of Civil Key-ins.
For Example:

-How can we set a Feature Definition to a curtain one?
-How can we attach a curtain Corridor to Geometry?

Regards,

Louis

  • Hi Louis,

There is no documented overview of Civil keyins I have seen but one is needed to allow users to streamline/automate modeming processes.

Some of the main Civil keyin groups I have found that can aid in automation is:

    CIVILCOORD - Civil Accudraw commands

    CORRIDOR - Corridor commands

    GEOMETRY - Geometry commands

PLACE NAMEDBOUNDARY - Named Boundary creation commands

    IFC - IFC Export commands

    SITE - OpenSite commands

    H3 - Subsurface Utilities commands

Regarding setting a Feature Definition using a keyin, ive tried to get this working in the past, but there doesn't seem to be a way to accomplish this...

    Regards,

    Mark

  • Hi Mark,

Thanks! I already was afraid that should be the answer (regarding to the feature definitions).

    Regards Louis

  • My testing with setting a feature definition by keyin has been frustrating. It sometimes seems to work, but the GUI does not seem to accurately reflect that the change was made. It reminds me of earlier versions of MicroStation where a custom tool that activated a command did not refresh the tool settings, but if one activated a view command and then exited it with a reset, the tool settings would finally reflect the change. A similar attempt for Feature Definitions did not work however.
