Can someone please link me to the Wiki instructions on building a TIN file from LAS files using V8i SS4 with Geopak? I have been looking everywhere.

I don't know about a Wiki article, but this is the process I follow:

• Import .LAS file using the Pointcloud reference dialog
• Use the Create Terrain from Pointcloud tool
• Select the terrain and export to Geopak TIN

I hope this helps. I would recommend processing pointclouds in OpenRoads Designer because it handles pointclouds and terrain generation a LOT faster than any SELECTseries product because of the 64-bit architecture (SS is only 32-bit).

Pretty straight forward workflow.

Then export surface to GeoPak format.

Maybe your not using the same version of SS4 as I am. Here is what my tools look like options etc.

Are you using Classic GeoPaK or SS4 with OpenRoads?

Can you show me which version you are using and I can see if IT can install it on my machine?
