I am trying to model a curbed median nose like the following picture.
So far I was able to use linear template to get the curb lines in for the median.
But for the middle sod part, I tried to use corridor clipping reference to clip out the middle pavement and apply a terrain and surface template in the middle, but it doesn't work out at all.
Anyone knows of a simple way to help with this problem?
Thanks.
This appears to be a cross over area, correct? This process will work either way. I would model the entire cross over pavement area as a new terrain and remove that pavement portion from the main corridor template. This will allow you to avoid corridor clipping (which cause more problems and processing) and control the grading through the intersection/crossover. From that point, you would need to make separate boundary elements that follow the travel lanes (EOP) in each direction and follow the curb-line on each end of the cross over (also add a crossover break as desired). The profiles for these lines need to tie together using the "Profile intersection Point" tool. After you add the intended profiles to those elements, you can create a terrain from elements and apply a pavement surface template. The curb linear template would simply be applied to the terrain boundary you use for the curb line portion. The sod portion can be made from the back of curb lines. You can create the sod median with linear templates or terrain as Chris mentioned.
