Hi
I have recived a DWG ( Revit model converted to DWG) from an architect I work with. I have taken tis dwg and "merged " it in to a dgn to use as a reference.
I experienced my system to be extreme slow when working with this merged files... both directly or using them as a reference. Not the first when it comes Revit model / DWG.
Are there some guidelines when working with Revit models / DWG in a OpenRoads Designer environment?
Is it possible to "Clean" it up somehow?
regards
Sigfús
Same here - it seems to be a problem with the MicroStation PowerPlatform itself. Does it do the same thing in MicroStation?

OpenRoads Designer 2022 R3 (10.12) | Microstation 2023 | ProjectWise CE 3.4
Using a 3d contour (3d terrain ) often "almost" kill my machine when using it as a reference. To keep working a am forced to close for display of these problem references.
Something I did not experienced with PowerCivil

I am not if it helps, but it might help to do this workaround with dwg with Revir model.
Merge to master the dwg
Delete all hatches from the revit model and drop all shared cell
Export DGN back to dwg
Open dwg in AutoCAD or Civil3D ( if posseble) and copy all items with base point to 0,0,0 and paste into new dwg
Merge back into a new DGN.
Maybe a long shot... but it look like it helped me... for now

Hi Sigfus, we also noticed that the dwg file slow down the OpenRoads performance. We work in ORD 2021 R2. When you detach the dwg file from the ORD file the performance recover. We re-attach the dwg file into ORD and then we can continue to work. The dwg file is from another discipline and we do not want to edit their outputs. We do not understand the behaviour but at least we can continue with work.
