I'm trying to follow the steps provided in this video.
I created my placemark and brought it into OpenRoads, but when I hit "synchronize google earth view," I get a message saying "wait google earth initializing." The description of the message is not very helpful/clear. I've allowed the program to try to initialize for several minutes but it appears something must be missing.
Unfortunately, this is a defect. The log information is as follows:
Defect 1070392:"Synchronize Google Earth View" not working
I tried finding a compatible version of Google Earth, but I was unable to get any currently available versions to work. There is a forum post that talks more about this and others issues. The link is below.

We're running Google Earth Pro 7.3.0.3832 (32-bit) and ORD 2019 Release 1 (10.07.00.56) without issue.
What versions of OpenRoads and Google Earth are you running?
I don't know that the version is as important as the fact that it is a 32-bit version:

Yeah I noticed that, and I am going to try it. I meant to direct my question to Abby, so that is my bad.
