Missing Seed file in Named Boundry

Hi,

I am trying to produce drawing sheets and when i go Named boundry, the seed file is missing. Checked with workspace and the seed files are present in the C Drive. Can anyone please look into this?

Thanks

The sheet seeds are to be defined using the MS_DGNLIBLIST configuration variable. Bentley's default for these sheet seed files (which are actually dgnlib's) for both imperial and metric using the default installation should have them show up automatically through the default installation process. As a workaround, you could manually add the location of the sheet seed files (locally) by modifying the configuration variable MS_DGNLIBLIST and add in the path to which the seed files are to be found (the better solution would be to set up a Workspace and Workset by which all users would have the variable set to the correct location by Client/ Project, but I digress). The default for the sheet seed files (again locally) is C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenRoads Designer CE\Configuration\Organization-Civil\_Civil Default Standards - Imperial\Dgnlib\Sheet Seeds\*.dgnlib (imperial settings). The metric settings are similar but "_Civil Default Standards-Imperial" will be replaced by "_Civil Default Standards-Metric" (I believe such is the case; we are imperial here, so all metric settings within our firm have been deleted). Pay special attention to the working units of these sheet seed dgnlib files as they may or may not agree with the local settings for your base files. All drawing files, model files, sheet files, cell libraries, etc. MUST have the same working units in order for the product to work as advertised. Check that MS_DGNLIBLIST is indeed picking up the path to these sheet seed libraries and get back with me (or another if they wish to chime in here). My suspicion is that something in your configuration is causing ORD to miss or ignore the correct pathing.

  • Mark,

Thanks for the information. I tried all what you  mentioned. It was still not working. Reinstalled it again and its working fine now. Perhaps it was a installation issue.

Wish you a Happy New Year!!
