SU Sump Depths in ORD

The Desired sump depth field is used when you want to have a "sump" depth. If you don't want to have a sump depth, set it to zero.

We have Sumps in our catch basins so I set it to 2 feet to match our standards, the issue I am having is the program isn't Drawing the profile to match the specified sump.  

I believe there is a defect on this issue and it should be fixed for the upcoming 2020 Release 1 version.  That should be coming out soon. 

You can try setting the Calculation Option to Design and see if the sumps show up.

The "Desired Sump Depth" property only applies when you compute the hydraulics, and it is "Desired" - not enforced. If you want more information on this, post a question to the OpenFlows Community site.

If you always want a sump of a certain depth for a particular kind of node - i.e. a particular feature definition - then you need to look at the cell that's used for the bottom of the node in the 3D model. Assuming you are using a CONNECT Edition product, then you should check the cell being used by:

1. In the Project Explorer, opening the properties of the feature definition, and noting the feature symbology that's used for the solid
2. In the Project Explorer, opening the properties of the solid feature symbology, and noting the 3D bottom element template
3. Opening the Element Template dialog, locating the 3D bottom element template, and noting the name of the cell that it uses
4. Open the cell library that contains the cell, then open the model for the cell

The cell will contain a construction class, line style 5 point. This point will be at the invert level of the node when it's placed in the model. If you want the node to always have a sump, then raise this point above the top of the base slab of the node by the sump depth.

This change will apply to all node feature definitions that use this cell, so you might want to consider having two versions of the cell - one for a sump, and one for no sump, depending on where the cell is used.
