Hello,
Im setting up a annotated profiles and placing a Frame below to best represent the data. This I understand how to do and isnt the problem...
But the issue Im have is the appalling slow ability for the program to make each change within the Manage Annotations. Ive turned off the preview display but the annotated profile remains in that window. (see below)
What Id like to do is speed the process up and if this means permanently turning the Preview Display OFF if this will help.
ORD 10.07.03.18, Release 2, Update7

In my opinion, there is still a lot of work to be done on the core programming of ORD. Many aspects run way slower than they should because the software just hasn't been optimised to take full advantage of the hardware it's running on. The annotation group manager used to be even slower than it is in 2019 Release 2, believe it or not. Setting up my first profile annotation group in one of the earlier releases nearly killed me, but I can see it's gotten marginally better.
I think the root of the problem is that most processes are single-core processes. I've logged a SR but I don't see that it's going to change any time soon.
I'd also like to know if anyone has figured out a configuration variable or trick to make the annotation group editing faster.
I can relate to the feeling of slowly dying inside waiting for each click of the mouse to do something.....
Hi Cairn,
I have replied to the SR. i'd like to test the data on my machine.
regards
Antonio
A config variable to enable/disable the preview screen in the annotation group editor would be excellent!
