there is a field on the Node dialog specifically for this purpose.
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
You can add the Base Flow (Q) or Base Area (&lt;em&gt;your choice which data you want to use&lt;/em&gt;) and it will be added to the pipe system &lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;BUT&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; not to the surface inflow of this node. If you decide to add the area, you will need to create an additional drainage area (that would be the total upstream region that will be added from this location down) and then select this area.

Go to the appropriate Edit&amp;gt;Node dialog.
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
Look at the bottom toggle on the Discharge Options panel. This is where you add the Q or the area.
