How can a slope annotation placed at or between Vertical points?
Now it looks like Slope Annotations only works at 3D Annotation Groups. Here however I can't find a way to place one at or between Vertical points.
Hi Louis,
I will be glad to help, but could you help me better understand what you are wanting? Could you send either a screen shot or a description of exactly what you are looking for?
Regards,
Jacob

Hi Jacob,
I want to make the vertical profile insightfull in the plan view with an annotation group (see image below). I've tried multiple settings, unfortunately without the result I had in mind.
Is this possible?
Regards Louis
If you are wanting to annotate the profile in a Multi-Model view pane, I don't believe that feature is offered in ORD. You can annotate the profile in drawing models and print it on sheets, but there isn't an annotation option for the profile in a design model. However, when a profile is selected, it will display the geometric data associated with it, but that is only until you data point or select a different element.
Did this answer your question? If not, please clarify for me what you want, and I will do my best to help you!
Louis:
Annotation groups cannot do what you are attempting to accomplish here. Early in my ORD development, I did they same as you are trying to do. I expected to develop my sheet dgnlib's at the end of my process, only to discover that they needed to be built quite before I wanted to. Once you have built a profile or a plan and profile sheet (or many of them depending upon the scales you have need of), you can then annotate the profile drawings associated as references to the sheet models.

It would be a nice feature to include auto-annotation on the profile design model so that it could be viewed and understood at a glance, and those annotations could be seen with the window open, even if doing work on another portion of the design. If, for instance, I were working in the plan design, but needed information about the PVC of my profile, I could look over to my profile window and see it. Instead, I have to stop what I'm doing, select my profile element and write down the information I need, then go back to work. I'm sure I'm not the most skillful and I'm missing a lot of settings...but I can see the benefit of having some type of annotation visible, even if it's "just" in the design model.

I am afraid you misunderstood me. What I try to do is simply auto-annotate the vertical properties (Slope) in my Plan (see comment from Mark) so it's easier to understand for someone with a less technical background.
I believe what Louis is looking for is analogous to the Vertical Change in Plan tool available in InRoads V8i.
