There exists a setting or configuration variable which controls the functionality of gap elements (the hidden portion of intervals). Normally when you hover your element selection tool over a gap it will highlight and you can select the gap directly; however, there is a way to set the program so the element selection tool will not highlight gaps. The workspace provided by one of my clients has this setting toggled, but I would like to change it back so that gaps are accessible graphically.
I believe that the intent of whatever setting was toggled was to disable regular microstation tools like place smartline from interacting with gaps, but having it also limit the element selection tool's effectiveness is not ideal. You can see in the picture below that civil tools still pick up gaps.
Does anyone know what setting / variable needs to be toggled to change how gap elements function? Thank you!
Hi Cole, I've asked around but couldn't get any answer and the existence of such a setting/variable. The best would be to start from this client's cfg files and see if we can spot anything related.
Could it be a setting in AccuSnap or some other regular user preference?
