I am using Bentley PowerGeopak SS4. I am trying to store a vertical profile in COGO using the road tool "Geopak-Road-Geometry-Layout (Component Based)". I have active chain control open and COGO activated, however I am unable to draw any of the profile components. Additionally, I've been getting an error "No Active Long Profile Representation System".
I have the graphics for my profile, and am trying to store in COGO.
I have been following the instructions in this PDF as a reference: flh.fhwa.dot.gov/.../Workflow_7.2_v8i.pdf
Once you have the graphics drawn (within a profile cell), you should be able to click the store profile icon and follow the prompt and store it in cogo.
You mentioned that you could not draw the profile component but then you said that you do have the graphics.

Thanks Nico. For clarification I have the graphics for the profile drawn using the basic ms drawing tools. I planned to trace over them using the vertical profile tools that open with the layout (component based) command. However, when I try to draw these profile elements, they are not showing up.
make sure that you have a geopak profile cell at the correct scale. it may be showing up in space outside your viewing area
make sure all levels are on and that you set the correct view in the active chain control dialog
