Is there a way to set the step interval in the dynamic cross section viewer when I select the next button?
Thanks,
Gerald Piotrowski
I meant to submit an Enhancement Request for this. I don't believe there is currently a way to change the step interval. Its controlled by event points essentially. It would be very helpful to be able to set this to every 100 ft or meters. Or add a play button. I'm gonna get carpal tunnel clicking through our template drop intervals.
Hi Gerald,
Creating a Dynamic Cross Section using an Alignment will let you do this, however, then the dynamic annotation/measurement tools don't work. That being said, an enhancement to select a user-defined corridor interval is something thats needed.

You could configure a corridor feature definition to align with what you are looking for y adjusting the multiplier and turning off the additional section creation options at critical, horizontal, etc.

This is a very good point. I assume that this would also affect the geometry reporting. May look into this in the next couple of days.
Alternatively, you could use cross sections as part of Reality Model Presentation located at Reality Modeling > Primary > Reality Model Presentation > Sections. As part of this you can define path for the cross sections (must be in current file), a step interval and several associated (slave) views that will update as you move forward / backward. The step interval can be changed at any time. The associated views can be configured separately. This functionality is not limited to reality models as anything attached to 3d model will be processed which includes corridors.
