I created the surface below from my corridor by selecting the 3D elements, but when I attempt to export the surface to a TIN, XML, DTM. I get the error mentioned in the title. How do I go about making this terrain valid? I have already removed rules from this surface.
Thank you
Hi Chris, can you upload your files here and I'll have a look: https://bentley.sharefile.com/r-rdf978af28424045a
If there are several corridors or Terrain, please let me know which one causes the issue.
Marc,
Thank you for the response, I have uploaded the file to the Bentley.sharefile site (overall surface-4-15-2020).
I have one overall corridor that I am trying to generate a proposed ground for my entire project, I will need to add more surfaces to this model but right now, I cannot seem to get the main corridor exported. I would use the top mesh method, which is what I typically would do to generate a surface, but when I create the surface using that method, the surface triangulation is inconsistent.
In the file, I uploaded there is a terrain in there that I created from the corridor elements, but as I mentioned earlier, I cannot export this to a TIN, XML, or DTM.
For some reasons the triangles are not calculated, if you try to display them there's none. A solution could be to force the Terrain Model to be recalculated by updating/deleting/adding a feature.
Thank you for the feedback but when I try to edit the terrain by updating/deleting/adding a feature I get the message "Method Requires Triangulated DTM". Do you have any other recommendations or solutions?
Hi Chris, not sure what happened with your terrain but I can have it to be recalculated. Have you tried to recreate a new one?
So you were able to get the TIN to triangulate and are you able to export it to a TIN or XML?
