About Anotation and Workflow

Hello, i have three little questions about OpenRoads.

1.The workflow of the progect i was working on, was set active as OpenRoads Modeling. To try something, i switched it to "Drawing" and i can not take it back to "OpenRoads Modeling". How can i set the workflow as "Modeling" back ?

2. On my file, i set angle format at "Angle Readout" as gradians but while some of values show in gradians, some still does in DD MM SS format (as in the picture). How can i fix this ?

3. When i hand-calculate the cord length i find Xs=54,954 and Ys=1,680. So these values match with the program output in reports sections. But they seem different on the view. What may cause that ?

Your helps are very appreciated as i am a student and still learning this program.

  • I can recall that there are different ways to report curve data on a project, and that some of the XML templates report for the "master" curve, and some report for the individual spiral-curve-spiral elements. This caused us some heartburn on a project until we figured out what was going on. Unfortunately, I can't recall which report format gave me the data broken out the way I wanted it (It's been a year or two).

I also seem to recall that there was another post on this board a while back discussing a problem with Gradians vs. Degrees. You might try a board search, because they may have been talking about this very thing.

I can't help at all with workflow. I'm not on CONNECT consistently enough to make any headway to be comfortable with the new ribbon...So I'll be watching this for the answer, because I'm sure I'll have the same questions.

    Best wishes!

  • Have you enabled tasks and task navigation? There has been a bug (or something more sinister) since ORD was rolled out, that when you enable task management, it breaks some of the workflows. A number of us reported this as a bug.

I've been beating that dead horse a long time and still found it not "fixed" in the most recent version.

The last time I tested, I was able to load a task menu and initially, the OpenRoads Modeling workflow was active, but at some point, I changed the workflow and when I tried to change it back, it was gone. Disabling the Tasks Navigation capability restored the standard workflows on your next session.
